Upcoming Events at First Lutheran

souper bowl of caring 2

Sunday, February 4th

More than 30 years ago on a Super Bowl Sunday, a single youth group was inspired by a simple prayer.  They started the Souper Bowl of Caring, a youth-led movement that is now an international event.
In 2017, 6,540 groups nationwide raised $10,115,948 in cash, collected many, many many pounds of food for charities in their areas.  It is turning our nation’s biggest weekend of football into its largest weekend of giving.
Drop a dollar - or more! in a soup pot on February 4th as you leave worship.  Your donation will go directly to the Xenia FISH Pantry. We are on a mission to fight hunger and poverty.    YOU can help.

Be ready for a fun and lively discussion!
YOU are welcome to join us.

Brown Bag Lunch

   Bible Study
Bring a simple brown bag lunch with you.  We meet for an hour from noon to 1pm at the church every Thursday.  BRING A FRIEND!  You don’t need any special Bible knowledge.  This is an informal, fun, and inspirational discussion time that will lift your spirits and give you new insights into your faith.  Upper Room devotional booklets will be provided at no cost to all participants.  Our topics are different  every week so ANYTIME is the right time to come!  Questions? Contact Facilitator Adele Lerch or call the church office, 372-7421.  We will be gathering December 7th, 14th & 21st, taking a break on the 28th and return to our regular schedule on January 4th.
